To harness and mobilise Igbo professionalism and ethos in every community towards the attainment of its highest expression of a just, inclusive, creative, empowering, productive and sustainable society.
To develop and promote the exchange of ideas, experiences and practices pertaining to the problems of business management in Igbo land and for people of Igbo descent.
To provide learning opportunities for members, their spouses, and families, in order to enable them to advance their interests.

To gradually and steadily transform the mindsets of non-Igbos, by showcasing the positive aspects of Ndi Igbo; their values and culture.
There shall be appointed a Board of Trustees for the Society of Igbo Professionals, with the responsibility to supervise the affairs of the Society in accordance with the objectives set out in this Handbook and the bylaws made thereunder, and the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, especially CAMA, and to exercise all powers and functions of the Society not hereby conferred upon the members in general meeting. The Board shall oversee the operations of the organisation, ensuring that the public’s trust is upheld, the mission addresses a community need, the practices are ethical, and legal requirements are met.
Members are encouraged to develop and promote the exchange of ideas, experiences and practices pertaining to the issues impacting the sustained development of social, economic and political dimensions of Alaigbo and for people of Igbo descent.

Members will be requested to pay fees in form of annual dues to the Society. This amount shall be determined or reviewed from time to time by the Board of Trustees.
Payment of Annual Dues shall become due and payable in the first year of membership and shall be determined by reference to the date of their application at these rates. Honorary Members shall be exempted from Registration Fees and Annual Dues.

Member shall cease to be a member if he or she fails in paying their annual membership fees
Persons or corporate organisations invited for membership are required to complete the application form which shall be sponsored by 2 members of at least 1 year standing, respectively.
No organisation shall be permitted to join the Society as a group. Membership shall always be individual.
If a Member chooses to voluntarily terminate membership, the individual should submit a notice of resignation.
The SIP Constitution and Handbook shall provide the rules and regulations for the management of the affairs of the Society, and shall be supplemented by bylaws approved by the Trustees.
